Most customers purchase a $10,000 limit, $500 deductible and 80% reimbursement. It’s a low price point with high coverage especially for those unforeseen large expenses.

We do not require medical records to sign up, but like all pet insurance companies, we do require medical records/medical history to process a claim. After you purchase your policy, we will reach out to you to get your veterinarian’s information so we can get those records in our system.

Like all pet insurance companies, we do not cover pre existing conditions. However, if you have a curable disease and have been symptom free for twelve months, that condition will be eligible for coverage.

You can visit any licensed vet in the US or Canada. Once you pay your invoice you submit it to us electronically through our customer portal and our claims team will review it and reimburse you fast as possible either through a check or ACH. With Prudent, we process 75% of our claims in 24 hours.

The core insurance policy does not cover wellness visits like an annual checkup. However, you can get coverage for those visits by adding on our wellness plan. This plan has three different levels to choose from.
