Accident + Illness Policy

Accident illness policy covers various cases of your pet

Compared to our other pet insurance policies, the Accident + Illness policy is our most comprehensive plan. It insures anything that happens to your pet, whether it’s an accident or illness, pretty self-explanatory. Since this Prudent Pet plan is more expansive than the original Accident-Only plan, it’s also a little more expensive because of the enhanced coverage.

This pet insurance plan covers everything the Accident-Only plan covers, plus more. Unfortunately, illnesses and injuries are common in our pets, and we’re trying the best we can to protect them.

Follow along as we answer your most-asked questions regarding the Accident + Illness policy. If we didn’t answer your question here, give our Certified Veterinary Technicians a call at 888-820-7739.

What Does the Accident + Illness Plan Cover?

The Accident + Illness plan covers any accidents or illnesses that occur outside of the 14-day waiting period. After your policy is purchased, a 14-day waiting period begins, where no pet insurance claims can be made.

There is no instant pet insurance coverage. The 14-day waiting period is mandatory; this is universal in all pet insurance plans for dogs and cats.
